When Paths Diverge

What does (y)our Path to the Future look like — socially, geo-politically, economically, and ecologically — either individually or collectively?

We are told that we must accept a “New Normal” — that we must abandon old ways — separate ourselves from established history and ignore institutional knowledge. We are told that we must — without argument or alternative — embrace “Climate Science” and “Green Energy.”

Nuclear … Hybrid Vehicles (as opposed to 100% EV’s) … and Mining/Drilling Domestically … are all among the “better” answers, as opposed to asinine and misguided “Green Energy” policies, which make America and her people dependent upon foreign states and unfriendly powers … which hinge upon expectations and promises, which are never going to be realized … and which leave (presently) valuable assets in the ground, while we export our nation’s wealth to foreign lands and peoples.

In essence, it amounts to funding your competition while simultaneously handicapping yourself. It should be no surprise when America loses in the end. The ultimate destruction (or at least comeuppance) with regard to this once great nation is the motivating factor of many, both domestically and internationally. Some are certain to argue — in the names of Social Justice and Equality — that this is only “fair.” Perhaps, but fair as to whom and by what standards?

Should reducing human beings to a universal subsistence existence, in which we share more “equal” want, disappointment and misery, be the objective of individuals and society? Does anyone honestly expect persons to voluntarily (and quietly) lessen their standard of living — to decrease the quality of their own lives — for the primary or exclusive benefit of far-removed peoples and unrelated persons? NONE of this makes sense!

If you are willing to bet not only your future but the futures of generations of your progeny on the baseless hope that all persons and peoples of the world will get along and coexist as part of some “New World Order,” which is both perpetually peaceful and exceedingly productive, and with all of the nations and peoples of earth sitting around a metaphorical campfire singing “Kumbaya,” then so be it.

Nevertheless, you would be betting on the longshot. You are betting on something that has never happened in over 100,000 years of humanity or within more than 10,000 years of civilization. You are betting against ingrained human nature. You are betting that all human beings will suddenly act en masse in a manner, which is completely contrary to the innate traits and baser instincts of our bestial species.

GOOD LUCK!
