Criminal Hypocrisy
I am all for holding politicians criminally liable for their copious and incessant lies!
However, some should be careful of that for which they ask:
Biden’s unconvincing story about the international entanglements of his prodigal son, Hunter, is still evolving. Biden’s economic claims were recently awarded the infamous “Bottomless Pinnochio,” which is reserved for “politicians who repeat a false claim so many times that they are, in effect, engaging in campaigns of disinformation” (i.e. propaganda). This is on top of a decades-long personal narrative defined by lies, embellishments, and plagiarism.
Of course, Biden is not alone in his façade of lies. His mentor and role model, Obama, had “composite characters” in his autobiography: The book that contributed to Obama’s messianic rise to the presidency is a work of fiction! As President, Obama was awarded Politifact’s 2013 “Lie of the Year” with regard to his pseudonymous “Obamacare.”
Unleash the prosecutors and persecutors!
Will that happen? Probably not, at least not contemporaneously or with equal vigor. Politics is defined by quests for power and fueled by entrenched self-interest and hypocrisy:
MY lying, morally-fluid, and narcissistic egomaniac is better than YOUR lying, morally-fluid, and narcissistic egomaniac, because mine does for ME and mine as opposed to YOU and yours.
